Gurman Sangha
Founder & Director
A disciplined, detail-driven coach who holds every player to a high standard. Gurman played professionally with Charlotte FC 2 in MLS NEXT Pro — the first Punjabi-Indian athlete in the league — after an NCAA Division I career at Memphis and Portland. He brings 10+ years of coaching to the Lab.
Filip Rakic
Coach
Filip combines energy and structure to make sessions intense and enjoyable. A former professional with Whitecaps FC 2 in MLS NEXT Pro, he represented Canada at the Danone Nations Cup and took gold at the 2012 BC Summer Games — 15+ years at the elite level, now poured into the next generation.
Simone Masi
Coach
Simone brings energy and discipline to every session, pushing players to meet high standards while staying fully engaged in their own development. He made 26 MLS NEXT Pro appearances for Whitecaps FC 2, played Serie D in Italy with AC Pistoiese, and was GNAC Freshman of the Year at Simon Fraser — the only freshman named to the First Team — before becoming the first Canadian-born SFU defender to sign a professional contract.

What is Football Lab IQ Academy?
Football Lab IQ Academy is an online player-development platform connecting players with experienced coaches and former professional players for 1-on-1 game analysis, mentorship and personalized guidance.
How do the 1-on-1 sessions work?
Create an account, explore available lessons, choose your coach and book a time. Depending on the session, you can upload game footage beforehand and then meet your coach live online.
Do I need game footage?
Only for game-analysis sessions. Mentorship, Q&A and other educational sessions may not require any footage.
What happens during a game-analysis session?
You and your coach review your footage together live. Your coach can pause key moments, draw on the screen, discuss decisions and positioning, and provide personalized feedback.
Who are the coaches?
IQ Academy coaches are selected based on their playing, coaching and professional experience. You can view each coach’s background and areas of expertise before booking.
What level of player is IQ Academy for?
IQ Academy is designed for ambitious players who want to better understand the game and continue their development, from developing youth players to high-level academy, college and professional players.
Can I work with the same coach again?
Yes. Players can continue booking with the same coach to build an ongoing mentorship and track their development over time.
Will there be other types of sessions?
Yes. IQ Academy is being built beyond 1-on-1 game analysis, with mentorship, Q&As, masterclasses and special sessions with professional players, coaches and other football professionals
